Mini Projects: Marvel Chair

My boys have had this little chair for ages, I bought it from ikea, it did come with a table and another chair, but mine are long gone now.

Latt childrens table with chairs £20

So you could probably imagine how grubby our little chair looked, I had little bit of chalk paint left over. I used Annie Sloan chalk paint in Old Violet. I painted the whole chair in this. I was thinking about giving it a little rub down after to make the wood look distressed but I thought I'll leave it for the boys to do.
For the seat all I did was modge podge a scrap peice of wall paper.
Really quick and easy project to do and my boys was thrilled with it.

Furniture Pick Me Up

I have had this table for quite a while now and was starting to look a bit drab, its only a cheap table from Ikea... one of those mix & match tables.

Anyways I was browsing around a discount stores and come across this sticky paper it was only 99p for 2 metres on a roll.
I chose this one.
And this was my outcome...

I am very pleased with it. Was so simple to do, I don't know why I haven't thought of doing it earlier.
Think I might go a bit mad with this one, I suppose you could use this paper on most furniture, it doesn't have to be a table.

Make sure you measure your table before starting this project.

Step1: Wipe your table, so there are no lumps and bumps underneath and you have a smooth finish.

Step2: Unroll your paper and cut to size.

Step3: Peel the paper just at the edges and stick the first panel of paper down, it doesn't matter if it flaps over the edge of the table. Gently peel the backing paper off as you stick it down rubbing out any air bubbles or creases out, I used my fingers.
Continue until your table is covered.

Step4: Now using the craft knife go around the edges and tidy and trim the excess.
